The Bistro at the Brunton is open Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm, with certain evenings where we are open until 7.30pm, therefore offering a rare work/life balance not often found in Hospitality.
We are recruiting for a Front of House role in a busy theatre café in the heart of Musselburgh. Situated on a main bus route into Edinburgh, the Bistro at the Brunton also has easy access out to many other East Lothian towns, to Queen Margaret University and to Musselburgh train station!
You would be working as part of a close-knit team in a welcoming community hub - a bustling café environment during the day, turned warm and inviting environment at night for all our much-loved theatre-goers! This is an exciting and varied opportunity in a fun environment. The job role will include elements of Front of House service as well as events catering and barista work, so someone with high energy and adaptability is a must!
The ideal applicant would have:
- A minimum of 1-year experience working in a fast-paced and lively customer service environment (ideally with some Hospitality/Barista experience)
- Is able to drive and has access to a car (helpful but not essential)

- Is enthusiastic and able to maintain a high pace of work
- Is hard-working, eager to learn, with an ability to multi-task
- Works well under pressure and adapts well to changing circumstances

- Be prepared to work weekends and evenings
