One of the UK’s leading ‘white label’ hotel management companies, Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited have a rare opportunity for a Reception Manager to join our high calibre team in a well-established global brand. This role will drive the opening of the brand-new 146- bedroom Hampton by Hilton in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. This is part of a £250 million regeneration of the town centre; including 200,000sq ft of retail and leisure space, 520 space multi storey carpark and a Metrolink extension to Manchester City Centre. In the last couple of years the market has seen an increase in regeneration projects within Rochdale. This Hampton by Hilton will be located is the largest development in Rochdale in recent times.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Ensure the reception team have full knowledge of the guest bedroom amenities and other services provided to the guest throughout the hotel
· Encourage & upskill the reception team to promote special offers and actively spot opportunities to upsell products and services
· Manage a hotel VIP grading system ensuring reception action where necessary
· Embed a culture across reception where guests need are anticipated and proactively carried out · Update & ensure the reception team maintain accurate guest profile information with all relevant details captured.
· Build a loyal customer base through the implementation of guest loyalty schemes
· Ensure accurate & informative daily shift briefings & handovers are carried out
· Carry out audit checks on guest profiles to ensure reception are maintaining up to date records
· Liase with housekeeping / F&B and issue reports on guests special requests
· Carry out reception & duty manager shifts as required by business
· Inspect and maintain a clean and spotless front and back of house
· Participate in revenue meetings and actively suggest any areas for sales improvement
· Manage employee rotas & holidays of reception team
· Ensure correct process and storage of floats and cash takings at reception
· Manage department budget, ensuring revenues are achieved an operating costs are minimized
· Complete all onboarding training and ongoing departmental training where necessary
· Compile SOPs inline with company standards for reception team/ nights team
· Ensure a sound knowledge of local area places of interest with the ability to direct guests locally
