What You’ll Do
The Provenir AI team is responsible for all things data, analytics, and ML/AI at Provenir. The team consists of Cloud Architects, Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Program Management specialists. It is our team's mission to disrupt longstanding players in the value chain by building a distributed AI/ML platform to drive best-in-class decisions.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Front End Engineer to design and build user interfaces for our global AI platform that clients will love. This role requires extensive hands-on development skills and deep technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new user interfaces for AI products
- Work with our data scientists, software engineers and UI and UX designers to build client-facing products that bring Provenir AI’s work to life
- Develop dynamic, reusable, and extensible code
- Follow SDLC best practices
- Produce high-quality code that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration
- Participation in the entire application life cycle, focusing on coding, testing, and debugging
- Help in the contribution and construction of the product roadmap including design and testing of POC products
- Assist with hiring, training, mentoring and onboarding of new front end engineers
Qualifications, Strengths and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience web development
- Proven experience of:
- Developing user interfaces for web applications
- Developing with modern Javascript frameworks
- Core web programming knowledge (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, HTML, CSS)
- Writing tests using relevant testing frameworks
- Experience of data visualisation techniques and implementations preferred e.g. D3
- Experience designing and building systems that scale
- Experience with agile engineering practices like sprint planning, retrospectives and demos
- Ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, thoughts, and opinions during requirements and design sessions with the development team
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills while understanding the scope and impact of your work
- Willing to take initiative, learn quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities is essential
- Work in agile, rapid development and prototyping environment
- Participate in product design, and development
