We are now looking for a Front End Engineer to join #teamgreen.
This role sits within our Data Productivity Cloud teams, part of our Engineering org. You will be responsible for contributing to our suite of products that make up a core part of our evolving vision here at Matillion. You will work with fellow Engineers, UX Designers, Product Owners to write, test and release features and support our products through its lifecycle.
What you will be doing;
Software Development
- A Front End Engineer is expected to spend most of their time hands-on in the production of software for Matillion products.
- Work primarily on Frontends with a fair amount of work building and maintaining our Infrastructure as code during an average sprint.
- A willingness and desire to become more full stack is an added bonus.
- Discuss, contribute to, and maintain the design patterns, framework selections and direction of the codebase.
- Solve problems with little supervision.
- Share ideas and contribute to solving problems in creative ways.
- You will help us build and deploy new features and services.
- You will help to maintain and drive improvements throughout our services.
- You will collaborate with team members through reviews and design sessions.

- Refine development practises, improving use of tooling, automations and ways of working.
- Explore new technologies and creative solutions to known problems.
Self Development & Growth
- Develop new skills by working with other members of the team.
- Work with your Engineering Manager to identify goals for growth and development.
- Partake in technical discussions with the team.
- Seek out opportunities for growth and learning.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrable JavaScript programming ability with a specialism in React and its associated ecosystem.
- Demonstrable experience with CSS (including SASS or SCSS), using modern standards such as BEM.
- Experience integrating with back end technologies, such as REST APIs, Websockets, and GraphQL, utilising suitable data structures and stores.
- Experience delivering SaaS software features or experiments into production.
- Experience with Amazon Web Service.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.

At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £44,000 - £60,500, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
