This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding online Pet food retailer.
We are looking for a frontend web developer with excellent communication and technical skills to join our team. Your main duties will be to develop and maintain our E-Commerce website as well as be involved in the continued development of bespoke built web-based systems that will allow us to support our accelerated growth ambitions.
Our software portfolio comprises numerous SPA applications as well as more traditional web applications that are served through an MVC platform.
Our SPA applications are predominately written in AngularJs so we are looking for a developer that is able to maintain the existing codebases whilst also working with the CTO on the transition to Angular.
This role will suit anyone who has commercial experience working in AngularJs, Angular, React or VueJS.
You will be fluent in CSS3, Bootstrap 4/5 and HTML5 including responsive mobile design. Previous experience consuming data from API’s would be advantageous.
What you will be doing...
You will be working at our head office in Stoke-on-Trent which comprises of a small friendly team. You will be involved in developing, maintaining and optimising all of our bespoke built systems. There will be (pending a successful introduction) an option to work remotely for a portion of the working week.
We need you to have...
Commercial experience working on SPA apps.
A passion to be a key member of staff within a small but well-established and rapidly growing online retailer.
You will be working to a fast paced and changeable workload meaning Agile principles are employed. Basic knowledge of Agile methodology would be advantageous.
The key requirements are as follows:
- 2+ years commercial experience
- Basic knowledge of MySQL and MVC framework architecture
- Self-motivated, organised, able to work well as part of a team
- Be a strong communicator to both your peers and key stakeholders alike.
- Has a portfolio of work examples available or examples of personal developer accomplishments
