Overview:
As a highly motivated front-end developer at apetito, you will focus on creating features for modern cloud applications in Angular for Azure. You will work as part of a small product team developing our core B2B ordering platform, and will be responsible for contributing to sprint velocity, stand up, estimations, and retrospectives. Ideally in this role, you will have strong front end development skills with a clear understanding of the Angular framework, CSS and Typescript / JavaScript. Any experience with using OAuth2.0 would be a bonus.
At a wider level, you will be involved in all stages and all areas of software development from architecture design, performance evaluation, to build and deployment pipeline creation, and application monitoring. You should be self-motivated and capable of delivering timely, quality work against deadlines with little supervision.
Our core stack is C#, Angular and Azure but we are constantly learning and, where appropriate, incorporating the latest technologies in our projects. We use modern software development practices including CI/CD and feature flagging, and are always looking to improve delivery of our software through automation, and collaboration with other areas of IT.

This role is a full time job on a 6 month fixed term contract, working Monday - Friday 8:30-17:00. You will be required to work from our Trowbridge office a minimum of 3 days a week.

There will be 1 week in three working on third line support for our portfolio of supported applications.
Minimum 2 years software development experience in a commercial setting.
- Designing, testing, and implementing software features and applications.
- Close collaboration with other team members.
- Troubleshooting errors in development and production applications.
- Delivery highly polished and easy to understand interfaces.
- Resolving bugs.
- Improving the overall efficiency of the software.
- Work with offshore development team to help onboard and unblock them in their development.
- Spend time with customers/users of our systems to best understand the challenges they face that we can solve.
- Being proactive in your development and the development of other engineers. Seeking out conferences, suggesting books, always looking to develop skills and experience, where necessary.
- Actively seek opportunities to get involved in teams outside of IT to improve your understanding of business & customer challenges.
