Job description
- Meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, assuring guests of a warm welcome and demonstrating superb customer service
- To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service
- Assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible
- Responsibility for accurate and efficient guest billing and completing procedures when guests arrive and leave, distributing and receiving keys
- Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area at all times
- To assist with general administrative duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and phone answering
- To support the Hotel Manager and Front of House Managers to professionally administer reservations ensuring that function and accommodation room bookings are made and recorded accurately and customers receive confirmation in a timely manner
- Liaise with customers regarding pre-orders and deposits
- Efficiently processing cancellations issuing documentation and communicating with relevant parties
- To deliver breakfast to guests as and when necessary
- Report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems completing precise requisitions and records
- To undertake any other ad-hoc duties and offering emergency cover during absences
- To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety and fire procedures
- To be fully aware of and comply with Company policies and procedures as identified in the Employee handbook
- Other duties commensurate with the role as appropriate and at the direction of the General Manager, Front of House Managers and supervisor
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-20 per week
Salary: From £9.50 per hour
