Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday, 4:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday (every other) 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Work generally involves answering telephones and interacting with the public as the receptionist, photocopying materials; distributing maIl; filing a variety of materials according to established department procedures; archiving material and physically moving boxes to appropriate area; and word processing or typing correspondence, reports and forms.
- Work assignments may involve data entry or cashiering; performing recordkeeping or more advanced bookkeeping functions; using computers for word processing, data entry and spreadsheet assignments.
- Deals tactfully and courteously with the public, co-workers, and other City employees, occasionally in difficult customer service situations.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Receptionist experience, Microsoft Office experience in a Windows environment, and knowledge of alpha/numeric filing systems.
