Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Bids and Tenders Writer to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Bids and Tenders Writer, you will play a crucial role in helping us secure new business opportunities by crafting compelling proposals, tenders, and bids.

On average, this freelance position varies between 1-3 days a week, with flexibility based on requirements. While this role allows for remote work, we value collaboration and teamwork with the broader team, and we would be looking for a candidate who can work alongside our other staff in fulfilling client and application requirements. We are looking for someone who can integrate seamlessly within existing processes and work closely with colleagues to ensure the success of our bids and tender applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and gather information about potential clients and projects.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within the company to develop winning strategies for tenders and bids.
  • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality proposals, tenders, and bids.
  • Review previously submitted bids for information and be able to pull data from various sources to help ensure the success of applications.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to ensure all documents are submitted within deadlines.
  • Tailor proposals to specific client needs and requirements.
  • Review and improve existing proposal templates.
  • Maintain a library of proposal content and templates for future use.
  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bids and Tenders Writer, preferably in a consultancy or similar industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong research skills to gather information about clients and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free documents.
  • Familiarity with the tendering process and procurement requirements.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and document formatting.
  • A portfolio of successful bid and tender submissions.
