The Role
We are looking to add to our existing team of freelance tutors/mentors, and require:
- Experienced first-class mentors/tutors to deliver a selection of group programmes or 1-2-1 sessions throughout the UK (Remote/virtual delivery and face to face delivery models)
- We need confident and focused tutors/mentors to support unemployed adults, to prepare them for work, supporting them with life skills and employability skills.
- The tutors role may include working with vulnerable, disengaged or disadvantaged individuals that have some complex needs.
- Our ideal candidates will have a positive and influential attitude and be passionate about empowering people to reach their full potential.
- Confident in signposting and referring to other provision of support
- Able to reach out to employers and discuss current/future opportunities they might have
Responsibilities include:
- Completing all the relevant admin work for each project including weekly trackers, attendance registers, Action plans & exit reviews.
- Reviewing the progression of learners continuously and ensuring that their needs are met through their training.
- Take responsibility for recording and tracking client participation including punctuality, attendance and completion of tasks
- Treat all data and personal information in the strictest confidence in line with GDPR policies
- Need to be flexible and adaptable to support various contracts on a short-term basis as and when required
Experience and Skills required for the Freelance tutor role - Must Have
- Experience of delivering on online / digital learning platforms including Zoom/MS teams
- Experienced and confident working to weekly deadlines
- The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload and manage your own diary.
- A proven track record of learners progression and reaching their goals and targets.
- Ability to work independently with no direct supervision

- Overcoming social anxiety
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the employability sector
- Mentoring/coaching experience on both 121 & group delivery
- Online Digital skills
- Basic IT Skills - Comfortable using MS Office & Excel spreadsheets
Desirable Criteria
- Welfare to work experience/ benefits knowledge
- Training experience (classroom based/online based)
- Teaching experience
