Job description
The Tour Guide is responsible for offering tours on historical and cultural aspects of the city, as well as for performing other duties related to promoting and publicizing the firm. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for this position, as is an excellent command of the English language. Tour Guides are often expected to check in with clients on a regular basis to insure that they're enjoying their experience and any problems have been addressed.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to describe the history of the city to tourists.
- Be able to describe the city's landmarks.
- Be able to direct tourists on various activities.
- Have a clear, pleasant voice and good pronunciation.
- Have an interest in history and an appreciation of art.
- Have good public speaking skills and be comfortable answering questions.
- Know all the city's must-sees, from museums and monuments to cafes, bars, and shops.
- Enjoy meeting new people and being out in the city.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week
Salary: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
