Eaton Dining are ceramic tableware specialists with over 20 years’ experience. We are established globally with international and domestic partners in retail, wholesale and e-commerce. Our in-house product designers have impeccable design skills.

Now we need to add a freelance ceramic surface pattern designer to our creative team so we can continue to offer diverse ceramic designs to our growing global customer base.

We are looking for a passionate designer with previous experience of creating surface patterns and a keen interest in homeware trends. If you are a ceramic loving creative, with a flair for design, this could be the role for you.

As Eaton Dining enters its next stage of growth, we will be looking to ramp up activity across global sales channels, which means we need someone quick, reactive and adaptable. This means everything from dynamic trend interpretations, original designs in response to customer briefs and trends, presentations, trend forecasts, product development and cutter guides showcasing design, typography and layout. We want to engage and inspire our customers.

Collaboration to support the Design Manager and our commercial teams when presenting to customers at meetings and trade fairs may be required. The right candidate will have a role to play in the development and execution of our brands, so we want someone who is constantly coming up with new ideas while keeping a close eye on homeware trends. Our business is fast moving, priorities change quickly along with customer demands which must be met promptly. It’s exciting, challenging and rewarding. Remote working is welcomed alongside close collaboration with the Design Manager and other team members. It’s the kind of business where we all get stuck in and bring ideas to the table to elevate our success within the industry. We want a long term partner, regular contracted work is available for the right candidate.

Essential:

· Solid portfolio demonstrating strong surface pattern and composition skills

· Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Required:

· Commercial and creative design skills

· Extreme attention to detail

· Exceptional collaborative skills

· Prompt response times

· Excellent self-motivation

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

Duties Include:

· Create drafts, models & prototypes across multiple platforms, showcasing high attention to detail, design, typography and layout skills

· Collaborate with other teams and use feedback to develop final drafts

· Revise the work of previous designers, making sure that designs meet guidelines and are consistent across formats

· Work on multiple projects at once whilst consistently adhering to tight deadlines

· Other duties as requested

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Ceramic Design or Graphic Design, skilled in Adobe Illustrator with a good understanding of the global homeware and tableware markets and a passion for homeware and ceramic design. If this sounds like you, we are waiting to hear from you.
