The event manager must be professional, driven and with excellent organisational skills. They must have great communication and people skills with exceptional attention to detail in everything they do.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high level corporate events, demonstrating their creative skills, ability to negotiate with suppliers, meticulous organisation and communication skills together with proven management experience to motivate and lead an event team.
The Event Manager will be required to oversee all aspects of event planning and management and will be the leader for the the end-to-end delivery for all our Flagship events. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, who is passionate about events, with great communication and organisational skills, and an inquisitive mind - eager to learn more about the subject matter and able to engage in conversations with our high-profile participants and guest speakers. This role demands an expert in all aspects of event planning, including project management, AV and production oversight, budget control, venue scouting, equipment logistics, space design, staffing, delegate management, vendor selection/negotiation. He/she will also be an excellent writer and able to handle email communications with key stakeholders and delegates.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end event cycles. This includes timeline and program planning, budget management, vendor management, logistics handling, day-of event management, and post-event strategy.
- Full logistical planning, reviewing function sheets, liaising with venues
- Develop event success metrics and analyse/ report on event ROI.
- Ensure that our customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders have positive experiences at organised events
- Have a strong understanding of budget control, developing production budgets and handling budget for delivery of productions.
Experience
- Degree in Event Management/Marketing, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Creative and technical writing
- 5 years minimum of managing corporate events end to end
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to unexpected changes in a fast paced environment
- Articulate and able to address a senior audience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, organisational, analytical, and written, oral communication skills
- Successful track record of planning, executing, and managing global events
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £140.00-£180.00 per day
