Job description
The Fraud Prevention Lead is responsible for ensuring the NHS Counter Fraud Authority meets its countability in identifying effective fraud prevention practices to the NHS and wider health economy. Will lead on the development of good practice guidance to set standards for the NHS in reducing fraud, risks and vulnerabilities affecting NHS staff and resources and engender effective stakeholder relationships and collaboration on key areas of fraud prevention work for implementation at a strategic, national and local level. Work as part of a team whose joint remit is to ensure that the organisation constantly looks ahead for the successful creation and delivery of fraud prevention interventions and information programmes for NHSCFA and its information access hub. Ideally the candidate will be experienced in Counter Fraud and/or risk management. Has excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience of delivering complex and innovative projects in a public service environment.

The Fraud Prevention Lead will be a subject matter expert, in the development of a wide range of fraud prevention material in diverse formats for use in supporting the fraud prevention strategic remit of NHSCFA. They will be expected to maintain their knowledge and skills at the very cutting edge of fraud prevention activities in the NHS.

There is the opportunity for office based, hybrid or home working based at any of these locations. In addition to the advertised salary working in the London area will attract High Cost Area Supplement where appropriate
In association with the Fraud Prevention Manager, the post holder will develop an agreed business plan that will drive forward the unit’s activity in meeting the NHSCFA organisational strategic objectives, within a legal framework.
Responsible for seeing that the team’s Business Plan is translated into objectives and outcomes for staff members.
Responsible for ensuring that NHSCFA meets its accountability in identifying effective fraud prevention practice to NHS England that meets required standards.
The post holder will lead on the development of best practice guidance to set standards for the NHS and consequently supporting NHS England and all NHS health bodies in England in reducing the fraud anti-crime risks affecting staff and resources.
Responsible for maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and collaboration on key areas of fraud prevention work at a strategic, national and local level.
