The Role:

We are recruiting for a self-motivated and driven individual to develop their career at Progress Rail. You will work and be trained in various job activities within the foundry, increasing your skill levels as training is provided. You will ensure all safety training is undertaken and understood before commencing any job, whilst maintaining quality standards.

Various job activities include:

  • Topping
  • Core making
  • Moulding
  • Fettling
  • Melting
  • Casting
  • Weights

Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience of Foundry processes (Desirable)
  • Highly motivated – able to work as part of a team as well as the initiative to work alone as and when required
  • Effective time management – able to work within tight timescales in line with production requirements/needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Strong problem-solving skills
