Joining our Technical Services team as a Formulation Scientist you will play a key part of the Pharmaceutical Development Services function. Responsible for formulation development, clinical trial manufacturing and any sub-project activities for external customers which will involve leading the technical aspects of these projects.
Whilst no day at Piramal is the same, using your demonstrable organisational and technical skills, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership to process and formulation development associated with product formulation and technology transfer project activities.
- Coordinating technological and scientific advances in the manufacture, transfer and optimisation processes and materials used by the company.
- Formulating and manufacturing of IMP’s, supporting our clinical and regulatory processes.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to showcase your technical expertise coupled with commercial acumen to appreciate and drive optimisation, ensuring smooth and effective delivery. Utilising scientific principles, analytical and logical methodology, you will take a data led approach in everything you do, supported with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales. Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a BSc degree in a scientific discipline and have experience in a formulation development environment with early phase manufacturing within pharmaceutical industry, preferably solid dose. Experience of a contract manufacturing environment within the pharmaceutical industry would also be particularly advantageous.
