Job Purpose:

To work within a Warehouse environment, providing an efficient and reliable service to our customers. You will be responsible for goods out in the Warehouse, this will include picking, packaging, and despatch of goods. Also maintaining and adhering to the high levels of Health & Safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• To pick and pack orders allocated by despatch coordinator
• Accurately book deliveries from supplier on to the operating system
• Able to achieve a high level of care and accuracy within pick operations
• Recording of statistical data
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Load 3rdparty distribution vehicles in a safe and presentable manner
• To ensure FLT’s (Forklift Trucks) are checked daily
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping including surrounding yard
• Maintain high levels of safety awareness
• Ability to follow instructions
• Support and co-operate with all Warehouse / Distribution Operators and Line Leaders with all day-to-day tasks
• To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business
• To be able to achieve defined targets
• To always adhere to the dress code
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Ability to follow instructions
• To be able to cover a range of jobs and be prepared to be flexible due to the rotation of jobs within your area

Knowledge & Skills:

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Methodical by nature with a keen eye for detail
• Basic IT skills in Microsoft packages
• Knowledge of 3rd party transport despatch systems
• Knowledge of a in house computer stock system
• Experience of working in a Warehouse environment an advantage
• Forklift Truck Licence an advantage

• Assist in actively developing and improving the job through better practice and the use of technology
• Work in a flexible manner when required to deputise for others and to reasonable requests which may extend beyond the normal duties and responsibilities of your job
• Be diligent with regards to timekeeping, attendance and general commitment to the basic objectives of the Company
• Observe the principles of GMP, Working Procedures, General Rules and Company Procedures within the Quality and Health & Safety systems

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £10.18-£10.42 per hour
