Senior Warehouse Operative & FLT

Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Senior Warehouse Operative with a Reach Truck Forklift License, for a Fresh produce business based in Rochester working Tuesday - Saturday day shift 0700am starts , in this role you will be supporting the operationswithin the warehouse.

The Candidate

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations, manage inventory, and supervise the safe and accurate movement of goods using forklift equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining a productive and organized work environment while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to coordinate inventory movements and fulfil customer orders.
• Operate forklift equipment to move, stack, and organize goods within the warehouse.
• Safely load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets, following proper lifting and stacking techniques.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock counts, adjustments, and cycle counts..
• Enforce safety guidelines and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse associates.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations and forklift operation.

Suitable candidates

• Valid forklift operator's license and demonstrated experience operating forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proven experience in a senior warehouse operative or supervisor role within a fresh produce Food manufacturing or distribution centre environment, with at least 2-3 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory and logistics processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
