Job description
Eaton Transport are currently searching for an experienced Counterbalance FLT driver to work in our busy Pallet Network team. Details of the position are as follows:
Hours/Shift Patterns:
You will work a fixed 10 hour shift 09:00-19:00, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime available every day. Occasional Saturday work may be required, normal Saturday hours are 07:00 to 13:00. You may also be asked to work a different shift occasionally, depending on holiday cover requirements.
The main responsibilities of the role will involve assisting in the re-distribution of palletised freight and general warehouse duties. You may also be required to undertake additional or alternative duties from time to time, as directed by your line manager.
Fork-Lift Responsibilities
- Hold a current Counterbalance RTITB/ITSAAR certificate.
- Ensure quality of load & transportation of freight through the depot to its destination, whether to place in a bay, or to load onto vehicles etc.
- Perform routine daily inspections to ensure the equipment is suitable for use.
- To provide information and to communicate with delivery drivers as and when required.
- To record and inform management of any damaged goods upon arrival.
Key Aspects of the Role
- Your role will mainly be working outside in all weathers
- You will be provided with the necessary PPE and wet weather clothing
- You will need to have at least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- You will be required to load and unload some containers (training would be provided).

Salary: £11.00 per hour - AVERAGE EARN (with overtime) circa £33,000
