Are you looking for a long-term position with a view on receiving regular overtime premiums? We are recruiting for confident Fork Lift Drivers to join a key car part supplier, located in the Central/North Birmingham area. Additional to this we have numerous opportunities in other postcode areas for qualified FLT Operators.
This is a renowned global manufacturer, where you would be building wheel frames and components for several major automotive brands. They are a progressive, fast-paced logistics operation, demanding the need to work both on and off the truck to help with sequencing/ palletising etc. All applicants for this role MUST hold at least 12 months experience as an FLT / Forklift Driver in a previous role.
Overtime is paid at premiums which range from time x1.2 to double time, eligibility will alter depending on the number of extra hours you commit to.
Working hours will run from 0600-1330/ 1330- 2100 rotating weekly (Monday to Friday). Nights are also likely to become available working 2100-0600 from Monday to Thursday.
The company are looking to offer long-term positions within a dynamic, team-focussed automotive environment, with excellent amenities including a canteen and free public parking facilities. Assemblers will also receive industry leading training within an automated manufacturing environment. The role may begin as an Easter job but may be expected to last continuously for around the next 18 months.

In order to be successful for the Forklift Driver position, candidates must bring the following attributes:
- Certified to drive Counterbalance / B1 Fork Lift truck (licence must be dated within the past 3 years from a formal accreditor) along with EITHER; Bendi/ Pivot Steer OR Reach OR PPT certification
- Willingness to work on / off the forklift to assist with material handling, end of line inspection and/or despatch operations
- Proven background on a fast-paced storeroom environment
- Ability to carry out the tasks expected of a Production Operative / Machine Operator would be advantageous
- Understanding of automotive principles (e.g., 5s) would be advantageous but not essential
