Job description
This role will consist of 12 hour shifts on a rotational basis of dayshift and nightshift.
Purpose of this role:
Under the direction of the lead technical op, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with lead technical operator when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
- Contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive team and working environment, working in a cooperative manner and providing support to work colleagues on your line as needed and adapting to change in a positive and professional manner.
- Promote accident prevention on your line by adhering to all safety guidelines and standards, ensuring that the correct PPE is always being worn and encourage active participation in all required training. Report any safety accidents/incidents to lead technical operator and identify, communicate and eliminate potential hazards.
- Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform lead technical operator / QSE Technicians promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.
- Using your operational knowledge of the FLT / Sage system, recommend potential operational improvements and make controlled adjustments to equipment to optimise the running efficiency to the lead technical operator.
- Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with FLT / Sage operations and ensure that all monitoring systems required by the Company are completed accurately in accordance with laid down quality procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring waste is kept to a minimum.
- Responsible for ensuring that your immediate area on your line is maintained to the highest standards of housekeeping and hygiene, in line with regulatory, company and customer requirements.
- Comply with all hygiene, environmental and health and safety instructions provided and safeguard your own health and safety and that of others on your line who may be affected by your actions. Including Forklift Trucks maintenance checks, and ensure any issues are dealt with accordingly.
- Undertake tasks and projects from time to time as may be reasonably required of you by Management in connection with your duties.
Essential Criteria:
- Valid Forklift License
- 1+ years Pervious experience within manufacturing industry
- Previous use of Sage systems or equivalent
- Computer literate

Salary: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
