Fountain Frozen are a successful and highly respected manufacturer and distributor of frozen coated vegetables for major retail and food service customers. As the business is developing there is a need to strengthen the production team on site at the Wisbech factory.
FORK LIFT TRUCK DRIVER
Hours of work: 40 hours a week working alternating shifts:
Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10am
The Role: As an essential member of the production team it will be your responsibility to ensure that the production lines are kept well stocked with ingredients and other raw materials to keep the line running effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Offloading and loading vehicles.
· To be responsible for ensuring all quality checks of incoming goods and to action out of specification results. All results especially any out of specification and corrective action must be documented. If necessary consult Team Leaders and Technical
· To use stock in date rotation.
· To charge the truck’s batteries.
· To carry out FLT checks at start of shift and all issues to be recorded on the Faulty Sheet Report and then sent to H&S coordinator.
· To check the daily loads through reception.
· To check Dry Goods Store racking daily.
· To carry out all paperwork related to the job as per procedures.
· To check ingredients and packaging for production over the next 2 days – pm shift.
· To issue goods to the line throughout the shift.
· To organise the Dry Goods Store when working in the area – to keep it clean and tidy at all times (spillages free, all packaging correctly labelled, wrapped and covered)
· To empty waste throughout the shift.
· To ensure skips are covered at all times.
· To monitor wet skips and compactor as and when to be emptied.
· To ensure the yard and skip areas are kept tidy and organised at all times.
Skills and Experience:
This is an ideal role for someone who is or has worked as a Fork Lift Truck driver, preferably working in the food industry (Frozen)
You will need:
· FLT Counter balance licence
· Flexi licence would be advantageous but is not essential
· Basic Food Hygiene and H&S knowledge (training provided where necessary)
· Experience working on FLT in a food manufacturing environment.
· Good communication skills, written and spoken.
· Can multi-task and prioritise.
