Job description

FM Conway is looking to recruit a Foreman/woman to join the Civil Engineering division working on our long-term large scheme in Kent, Essex, and London. You will primarily be based on site however regular visits to our head office in Sevenoaks will be required.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Foreman/woman will oversee the day-to-day site management for this long-term scheme.

Responsibilities of our Foreman/woman

As our Foreman/woman you will be responsible for a range of duties including:

  • Directing and supervising day to day operations of operatives and sub-contractors
  • Ensuring material requisitions are issued in adequate time to stay within the constraints of the programme
  • Scheduling, controlling, and monitoring all plant and materials under your control
  • Ensuring a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards
  • Liaising with the Site Manager and site colleagues regarding cost control, waste management and work variations

What we’re looking for in our Foreman/woman

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Foreman/woman in the Civil Engineering industry. You will have demonstrable experience delivering highways and earthworks projects and you will hold a valid CSCS card as well as SSSTS.
