Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Forecasting & Planning Analyst to join the Range, Forecasting & Stock planning team. This role will be key in ensuring the business has the correct amount of stock in the right place at the right time to meet demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supply Sales teams with information to allow them to forecast as accurate as possible inline with the Forecasting Timetable.
- Ensure buys are made in line with Forecasting Timetable balancing the requirement for early stock availability and the risk of committing without firm orders.
- Create and manage departmental working documents.
- Ensure buys are sized in line with business requirements ensuring stock is delivered to relevant warehouse globally.
- Continually monitoring stock availability ensuring correct stock in correct location in line with customers’ requirements.
- Identify individual market requirements and manage throughout the season to ensure product available in the correct warehouse for immediate sales.
- Continually review business reports and ensure findings are actioned and communicated to relevant departments
- Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within a similar role either through a degree or work based setting.
- Strong Excel skills with experience of creating formulas and pivot tables is essential.
- Competent level of IT packages : Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally of the department.
- Strong analytical skills
- High attention to detail is critical
- Strong organisational and time management ability
- Comfortable working within a pressurised environment to achieve key deadlines
- Working on own initiative without the requirement for close supervision
- An interest and understanding in the Barbour brand
- Appreciation for clothing of branded, casual / lifestyle ranges will be highly desirable
Essential requirements
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel
- Problem Solving
- Experience working in a related role or educated to degree level
