The role:
As the Forecasting & Performance Analyst within our Mortgages space, you will be responsible for planning, performance management and analysis, defining reporting, and insight for the end to end customer experience for Mortgage Products all within Bank defined risk appetite. You will be a forward thinker ensuring continuous improvement & insight generation - combining, reviewing, and interrogating the data in ways to get to a deep understanding of customers’ underlying motivations and needs. A fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to senior stakeholders within the bank.
Key Accountabilities:
- Financial planning / budgeting and forecasting – build and update budget and forecast for Retail products and for specific projects
- Lead effective relationships with key internal stakeholders responsible for analytics and forecasting.
- Measurement and tracking of Retail P&L performance - Identify and put in place relevant KPIs, systems or processes to measure operational delivery and performance. Track performance against KPIs.
- Data analysis - Using appropriate tools to analyse data in order to understand business performance and customer behaviour; to profile customers; identify segments within the base meeting given criteria. Model scenarios e.g. pricing, promotions, business cases, propensity models.
- Interpretation and action planning - Interpret data to understand root causes e.g. of performance issues; and/or to understand implications of changes (e.g. pricing or policy changes). Recommend actions.
- Customer experience measurement - identify and put in place relevant KPIs, systems or processes to measure customer experience
- Developing reports and dashboards - Develop standard reports and dashboards to meet reporting needs of Mortgage product managers e.g. sales funnels; ensuring what’s measured is relevant to track performance against identified business objectives. Share reports according to agreed schedules and providing any “value-add” interpretation or commentary before passing to other teams
- Support a customer centric culture, which inspires and motivates colleagues across the Retail Product team.
- Set clear objectives, plan, work with delivery areas on the tactics to deliver against the plan and oversee timely adherence.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong analytics skills with experience of financial services
- Understanding of critical mortgage product value drivers and commercial outcomes
- Track record in planning, forecasting and financial interpretation skills
- Proven track record in stakeholder management
