GENERAL DUTY OPERATIVE

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the market leader for oriental produce in the country, currently employing over 300 staff across 4 different locations. Here in Manchester, we are requiring a General Duty Operative, offering a competitive rate starting at £9.91 ph and a minimum of 20 hours guaranteed. We have a friendly, diverse team which has created a supportive work environment for all staff, and although it can be fast paced and busy – we know how to get stuff done!

Within the role of General Duty Operative, we are looking for candidates who can:

- Play a key role in the replenishment of various sections of the shop floor where required, both frozen and ambient

- Be adaptable, eager, and willing to learn the processes for various duties and tasks as required

- Provide excellent service and show an ability to go above and beyond for the customer

- Be proactive and show initiative – we love hearing fresh ideas and thoughts from all staff

- Show great care in their work and workplace, ensuring all areas of the store are clean and hazards removed when encountered

- Display attention to detail when restocking retail areas

Other attributes we are looking for include:

- Retail experience (preferred but not required)

- Education to a GCSE or equivalent level (preferred but not required)

- Experience with manual and electric pallet trucks (preferred but not required)

- Common sense and a positive attitude to work (required)

- ENGLISH - FLUENT (ESSENTIAL)
