Recruiting Event / Football Stewards Now in Norfolk, Suffolk & Essex!

Achilleus Security are NOW looking to Recruit Event / Football Event Safety Stewards in the Essex & Suffolk Area for work at events and venues.

Achilleus Security (East) are NOW welcoming applications in East Anglia from people that would like to join us as Part Time Casual Event / Football Safety Stewards, our team members are a vital part of any event or venue’s Security, Safety, and Customer Service Team. So, this position is only open to the right candidates, that have an enthusiasm and a desire to work, and those that can meet the company’s strict recruitment criteria.

We have only recently commenced recruitment in East Anglia due to being awarded a large contract in Ipswich, so we are recruiting new team members to join us to work at this new contract and also at some of the counties major events that includes both inside and outside events and venues, throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Greater London, the Home Counties including on occasion UK wide.

We understand that some may only be interested in working Locally in Suffolk and Norfolk, and it will be your choice should you wish to work outside those areas, but the work is available to those candidates that would like to join us as FREE Travel is offered there and back.

The type of work is always varied and is as and when required, but we have a substantial amount of work available to those team members that are willing to travel and also on occasion stay away.

Our team of Event / Football Safety Team must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Spectator Safety Qualification (or equivalent) but don’t worry if you don’t have one yet as we will help and support you to gain that for free.)

Our Rates of Pay Are:

• For team members that do not hold an NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety

• Event / Football Steward - In Training - £11.05

• Event / Football Steward - In Training with SIA DS Licence £11.64

• For team members that do hold an NVQ or equivalent Level 2 in Spectator Safety

• Event / Football Steward - Qualified - £11.64

• Event / Football Steward - Qualified with SIA Licence £12.05

• We are also looking for car / minibus drivers* £11.00ph for driving hours

*Conditions do apply, Full Clean Driving license, Age etc

• All rates are inclusive of holiday pay

• Time and Half / Double pay on public holidays

• Minimum 5 Hours Pay for every shift

Event / Football Safety Stewards Will Receive:

· Good hourly rates of pay starting from £11.05p/h to £11.64p/h or SIA DS (£11.64 to £12.05)(inclusive of holiday pay)

· Monthly Pay with Wagestream meaning up to 50% of wages can be drawn down within days of working

· Minimum 5 Hours Pay for every shift.

Applicants For This Position of Event / Football Safety Stewards Must Be:

· Over 18 Years of age

· Have a good command of the English Language both written and verbal

· Hold a Level 2 or 3 Spectator Safety Qualification or Equivalent or be prepared to be working towards this qualification.

· Willing to work as part of a growing team.

· Prepared to develop their skills for the role via Continued Professional Development with our support

· Any work offered in London or Home Counties will include free travel

· Aware that the role includes mostly weekend and evening shift availability

We pay above National Minimum Wage Rates, and pay rates are dependent on position, qualification, venue, and role, and 99% of the assignments offer a 5-hour minimum pay (call time), All our team members are employed on a PAYE Tax basis, and sadly due to HMRC Guidelines we do not except those that are Self Employed even with UTR number.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

This role will see you as responsible within a for the safety and security of employees and customers at events and venues that we work at.

You will be interacting with the public and employees within the events spaces and locations, along with communicating and directing customers, the public and guests, along with general crowd control / monitoring. You are also responsible for ensuring event / stadium policies, rules and safety procedures are adhered to.

Regular Tasks & Duties Include:

• General Customer Services.

• Monitoring access and egress points.

• Maintaining Social Distancing and COVID Safety protocols.

• Providing Information and direction.

• Ensuring crowd safety plans and procedures are adhered to.

• Reporting any suspicious behaviour.

• Monitoring Crowds for distress, overcrowding and disorder.

• Ingress control – ticket validation, accreditation checks, and queries.

• Egress control – Observing safe egress from areas, including emergency evacuation.

• Reporting and recording details of accidents, irregularities, near misses, or incidents.

• Responding to accidents, incidents as directed.

• Maintaining safe working environments, and health and safety management.

WORKING IN OTHER AREAS SUCH AS GREATER LONDON, OR COUNTRYWIDE.

We are lucky enough to provide Security & Stewarding services to some of the country’s largest events and venues and stadiums and events, that include Wembley Stadium, Twickenham Stadium, we work at Ipswich Town Football Club, as well as Queens Park Rangers to name a few, we also work events such as Football, Rugby, Boxing, Music Festivals, Concerts and Public Events.

The majority of shifts will be outside Norfolk, we have a large client in Ipswich and as such will involve a fair amount of travel, however we will always provide travel FREE OF CHARGE, and for some assignments that are further afield we may pay travel, and this will be discussed at time of booking.

Some events such as festivals that may be further afield may involve staying away, and camping, but assistance and support will be given to those that are interested.
