Are you interested in being a FOOD TASTER?
On occasion we have exciting tasting projects for food and drink evaluation. This requires a large number of food tasters to assess the sensory attributes of products and get the best results for our clients.
We would like to invite you to be a part of our panel bank by taking up this part-time opportunity to become a consumer panel assessor at the NoWFOOD Centre, University of Chester.
If you have an interest in food or would like to learn a new skill this could be just the job for you.
You will be required to assess a range of food and drink products, so it is important that you have no dietary restrictions such as food intolerance or allergies and are open to tasting a wide variety of foods and food supplements.
This is casual work; the hours of work would be as and when required. Approximately 1-2 hours per project (Monday to Friday).
Responsibilities and Duties
- The work will involve evaluating a range of food and drink products, including nutritional and dietary supplements.
- You will often be required to record your answers to product tests directly onto a computer. (Experience of using a computer or mobile device would be an advantage although full instructions will be given).
Qualifications and Skills
- You must not have any food allergies e.g.nut allergy, coeliac
- No experience of sensory analysis is necessary, basic training will be provided.
- Ideally, you will have an interest in food and drink products.
