Job description
Malcolm Barnecutt Bakeries employ over 200 employees in locations across Cornwall and Devon and are accredited with being one of the top 150 employers in Cornwall.
We are now recruiting for a Shop/Kitchen Assistant to join the team in Camborne. This is a permanent position working full time (40 hours) across 5 days. Weekends are on a rota basis.
Daily duties will include the following:
- Serving customers in polite and professional manner
- Barista skills - training will be provided
- Organising food displays ready for sale
- Preparation of fresh food including hot and cold filled rolls
- Preparation of produce for the salad deli counter
- Compliance with food hygiene and quality standards at all times
- Keeping customer dining areas clean
- Other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the shop and kitchen
As a person you will require the following qualities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be flexible with shifts to help provide cover during holidays and sickness
- Ability to work well in a team
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
