IKEA Food team in Greenwich are looking to welcome fast-paced and hardworking Kitchen Porters to join and play a big part in our busy team.
Prior experience as a kitchen porter is desirable, but not essential, all you need is a roll up your sleeve mindset to the various tasks & challenges that present themselves.

Due to health and safety you must be over 18 for this role.

Expected Starting Date: 25th July 2023

WHAT WE OFFER

• £11.95 per hour
• Living Wage Foundation Employer

18 hours working 4 days per week, includes weekends, where you will get one weekend off in 4
24 hours working 5 days per week, includes weekends, where you will get one weekend off in 4
30 hours working 5 days per week, includes weekends, where you will get one weekend off in 4
39 hours working 5 days per week, includes weekends, where you will get two weekends off in 4

You will be expected to work a minimum of 2 late nights per week, finishing at 10:30pm

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you.

This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.

We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a kitchen porter, you will be working in our dishwashing area, responsible for the cleanliness of all our food equipment, ensuring that all food safety standards are met for our customers. You will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them to help create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co-worker.
