Job description
The Fishmongers Tavern Seafood Restaurant is currently seeking talented and passionate front of house team members of all levels to join our team. The positions available are:
Front of house supervisors
Bar Staff
Waiting staff
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables
- Take food and drink orders and ensure accuracy in the order
- Provide recommendations to guests on the menu items and answer any questions they may have
- Ensure that guests receive excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Process payment transactions and issue receipts to guests
- Assist with clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Ensure cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is served promptly and accurately
- Attend to any special requests or needs of the guests to ensure they have a positive experience
- Maintain a positive and professional manner when interacting with guests and fellow team members
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the restaurant industry. This is not essential as full training will be given
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to be able to work evenings and weekends as required
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including proper table settings and dining etiquette
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
