Job description
We are looking for a Bar Supervisor to assist in leading the team at the Grand Hotel.
- Background in Leisure hotels or restaurants is preferred
- Excellent Customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills
- To be able to make decisions in a fast paced environment and to enjoy it
- To be great at up-selling – anticipating customer needs as well as improving the bottom line
- To be able to assist in managing the team and resources available to ensure that the bars are equipped for service via cost controls, stock monitoring and good rota management
- To be able to communicate to and motivate the team providing day to day support
- Be able to use a PC
Your responsibilities will be:
- Ensure and promote good time keeping
- Promote good moral in the department by being committed and promoting the positive things when on a shift
- Fill out the handover book when on a shift
- Be committed to training courses and meetings scheduled for you
- Be prepared to carryout duties ensuring all areas such as cellars, bottle areas, glass stores and water stores are kept clean
- Ensure the correct bar stock levels are in the bar when on a shift
- Give feedback to the manager on any items that you feel could be changed for improvement
- Work closely with all team members to ensure standards are met at all times
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
