Information for the role of Food Service Assistant
Full-time Salary based on £21,553.13 per annum for 37.5 hours

An opportunity to join our friendly Catering Front-of-House team who prepare and serve a range of high quality food, including fine dining, to the College community and commercial guests. You will receive full training and will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills from the rest of the team.

Hours of work include a mix of shifts over a seven day rota. Staff are expected to take some of their holidays during the Christmas closure which extends into the New Year.

The role requires:
- Experience of Front of House in the hotel industry or in hospitality
- A good understanding of Food Safety and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- A Food hygiene certificate (preferred)

Details of the role
The post of Food Service Assistant is a permanent full-time role. Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates.
Hours are worked over a seven-day rota basis, working 37.5 hours per week. Covering both early and later shifts, usually between the hours of 7.00 am and 9.30 pm but this is subject to change depending on the needs of business. As of 1 April, the salary for this role is £21,553.13 per annum. Up until the 1 April the salary for the role is £21,376.78 per annum.(step 23 on the College Salary Scale).
