Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled food scientist to join our team in the marshmallow manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food science and a solid understanding of the science behind marshmallow production.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on ingredients used in marshmallow production, including sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, and flavors, to optimize taste, texture, and stability of marshmallows.
• Develop and test new formulations for marshmallows, using a variety of food science techniques and equipment, to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure that marshmallow manufacturing processes meet regulatory and safety standards, while maintaining product consistency.
• Analyze data from sensory evaluations and consumer feedback to identify areas for improvement in marshmallow formulations and production processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in marshmallow manufacturing and incorporate them into product development and production processes.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new ingredients and technologies that could enhance the quality and efficiency of marshmallow manufacturing.
• Assist in the scale-up of new formulations and production processes from pilot to full-scale production.
• Train and mentor junior food scientists and production personnel in the science and technology of marshmallow manufacturing

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £34,940.00-£37,625.00 per year
