Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

The holder of this position will be accountable for the R&D inputs for defined margin management, business continuity and de-complexity projects supporting the Mondelez Europe Productivity agenda. Projects could be related to Chocolate/Cocoa, Fillings, Ingredients or Conversion Productivity depending on business priorities.

The right person for this role delivers the technical knowledge for the function, develops solutions to problems, whilst ensuring compliance to technical policies & procedures. This will require working in a cross-functional project team working with Supply Chain, Marketing, Procurement, Suppliers and other R&D functions.

Education / Certifications:

Scientific/Technical Degree.

Job specific requirements:

Experience working within a R&D environment within the food industry, ideally within a product development role.

Experience working on projects involving formulation and/or process changes for food products.

Technical knowledge of chocolate/ confectionary would be an advantage, specifically relating to raw materials, processing, manufacturing and formulation fundamentals.

Experience working within a Product Lifecycle Management System such as SAP PLM.

Travel requirements:

You will be required to travel within Europe to production sites, suppliers and external manufacturers based on project needs.

This is a fixed term contract due to run from June 2023 - August 2024

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
