Food Quality Technician

40 Hours Per Week. Monday to Friday.

The role would suit candidates with a food related qualification and candidates transferring from a food manufacturing environment. You will have previous experience working within a quality or technical team to BRC standards and have a strong awareness of retailer COP. Applicants will ideally be HACCP qualified. Supplier Quality Technician, Raw Materials Coordinators, Food Technical Technician, Food Quality Technicians or similar in previous roles are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be predominantly responsible for raw material coordination on a food manufacturing facility from initial goods in to end product leaving the site. Your key relationships with be with customers, auditors and suppliers. You will manage all raw materials, packaging and supplier approval documentation to ensure it is up to date and compliant. You will review supplier BRC status and self audit questionnaires to determine approval of new suppliers. You will maintain food integrity risk assessments. As part of your role, you will assist with customer audits on site and be responsible for trend analysis of any complaints/issues and raise this with suppliers. Within this role you will work closely and collaboratively with the NPD team.

Food Quality Technician:
*Technical responsibility for all raw materials delivered to site
*Managing all raw materials, packaging and supplier approval documentation
*Reviewing supplier BRC status to determine approval of new supplier to site
*To complete annual supplier performance review & take necessary action regarding poor performance.
*Internal and supplier audits
*Supporting NPD on site
*Liaising with process technologists, production, supply chain, technical and operations
*Liaison with customers, suppliers and auditors
Food Quality Technician:
*Strong knowledge of BRC/GMP, HACCP and Retailer COP
*Must have previous Food Manufacturing background
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
