The Person:
We are looking for Experienced Food Manufacturing Managers who have strong leadership and people management skills, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication abilities to work and achieve high quality standards, in a fast paced food safe, manufacturing environment. You would also be detail-oriented and have strong experience and an understanding production processes and equipment.
The successful candidate/s will be an "All-rounder", self-motivated, determined and be able to work both under their own initiative and as part of a productive team. Willing to be flexible during busy periods with a can do attitude. Ideally, you will be a hard working individual who is keen to learn a set of new skills and willing to improve in the future.
You should have a practical and conscientious approach to work. The environment is very fast paced, labour intensive and can be time critical, as we look to ensure delivery on time and in full to supply product for our new manufacturing line, whilst maintaining high levels of quality. You will be reliable and have a flexible style of work in order to achieve production objectives.
The Role:
Our Shift Managers are responsible for overseeing the operations of our new manufacturing facility and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Some specific job duties and responsibilities for duty managers will include:
- Managing and leading a team of production employees, including setting goals and objectives, providing training and development, and evaluating performance.
- Monitoring and analysing production data to identify and resolve issues that may affect productivity or quality.
- Ensuring that all safety and health regulations are followed and implementing safety protocols and procedures as needed.
- Working closely and in collaboration with other managers, supervisors, and staff to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality.
- Working with our supply chain team and ensuring inventory levels are consistent
- Communicating with key stakeholders as necessary to address concerns or issues and looking at ways of improvement
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, such as production rates, efficiency, and quality.
- Managing a team of 30+ people at any one time
- Completing fully comprehensive handover documentation
To be successful in this role, our Shift Managers need to have strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. They should also be detail-oriented and have strong experience and an understanding of production processes and equipment.
The successful candidate will be required to work a fixed working pattern of 12 hour shifts on a 4 nights-on, 4 nights-off work pattern, working 19:00 hrs to 07:00 hrs, averaging 38.5 hours per week.
The package:
· Job Type: Full Time
· Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 per annum based on experience (inclusive of shift allowance)
· 28 days Paid leave per annum increasing based on length of service
