The following role is now available at Freshly Prep'dFood production - packing team leaderThis is a fantastic opportunity to join us on the Freshly Prep'd Journey at a very exciting time, this role is suitable for an individual that aspires to progress quickly into a managerial role in line with our growth plans.Alongside your team, you will work collectively to provide a high quality packing service to meet the needs of the facility and our customers. You will be an integral part of the day to day operations in our factory and the running of the packing team. The aim of your role is to run an effective packing service, at all times maintain accuracy, product quality and ongoing communications with relevant departments. You will be handling and packing food products.You will -- Accountable for ensuring adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures- Maintain excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness necessary in a food production environment- Leads by example creating a safety culture within the department, monitors and feedbacks to operatives to ensure safe working practices happen.- To drive morale and teamwork- Works with the Manager to achieve KPI targets and inputs to develop internal systems and methods of working ensuring compliance with company policy- Escalates any safety conversations, near miss or accidents to the site H&S Rep- Assists in ensuring contractors adhere to Safe Systems of Work and have permits for work- Accountable for ensuring adherence to procedures- Accountable for ensuring records and sign offs are completed- Order packing products within budgetary constraints- Ensure training and development of the team is up to date, identifying training needs, carrying out hands-on training and ensuring training plans are correctly completed and signed off against work instructions, safe systems of work- Performance management, supporting all colleagues to achieve the expected minimum targets- Aiding in packing functions, the role requires a hands on approach- Implement Packing Plan- Set Up Machines- Stock Take Packaging- Ensure Stock rotation is adhered to- Following standard work processes in order to meet demands of operations in an efficient manner.- Follow Health & Safety Guidelines- Table work, packing orders, replenishing stock- Moving stock around the warehouse and labelling- Maintain excellent standards of product and packaging quality whilst at the same time ensuring that waste is kept to a minimumJob Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £11.40 per hourBenefits:Discounted or free foodEmployee discountHealth & wellbeing programmeStore discountSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental pay types:TipsExperience:Supervisory: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
