A fantastic oppoortunity to join a thriving local business. Our luxury artisan ice cream is made from cow to cone here on the farm. We are looking for a new team member to help us as we continue to grow
Working in our busy ice-cream production facility you will be responsible for producing our full range of luxury artisan Ice cream and farm fresh milk. This is a full-time role working on an annualised hours basis.
The number of hours worked each week will vary depending on the time of the year and the working week is Monday to Sunday inclusive.
During the year experience other areas of the business that require additional staff to cover their busy periods.
The main duties of the Production Operative are:
- Taking delivery of, booking-in, transfer, and storage of raw materials
- Cleaning of production equipment and premises
- Maintaining hygiene and quality standards
- Labelling of finished goods and packaging
- Production of mixes and finished products by following processes and recipes accurately
- Completion of production, cleaning, and compliance paperwork
- Transfer, storage, and boxing up of finished goods
The main skills required for a Production Operative are:
- To always maintain high levels of personal and work place hygiene
- To be thorough, accurate, and pay attention to detail
- The ability to work on your own and with others
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- To be able to operate and control equipment
- To be flexible and open to change
- Physical skills like strength and co-ordination
- Knowledge of food manufacturing production and process
- To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer
