Hackney Gelato is recruiting permanent Food Production Operative to perform all duties related to assisting with the production and packing of Gelato, and maintaining general hygiene of production area.
Job Responsibilities
- Working in a kitchen environment, assisting with the filling and packing of Gelato into tubs,
- Assisting chefs with moving ingredients. Able to lift heavy (max. 25 kg)
- Cleaning production tanks and other production machinery such as pasteurisers and ice cream machines.
- Health and Safety training will be given as you will be dealing with hot products
Job Skills and Experiences
· Minimum 2 years of experience in ideally in a food manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work unsupervised and maintain a high level of performance.
· Effective time management.
· Demonstrates a passion for cleanliness.
· Good communication skills and willingness to work as team.
· Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene.
· Level 2 Health and Safety (preferable).
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
· Standing/walking 8 hours.
· Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule as the odd weekend maybe required during busiest periods.
. Need to be able to work with dairy, gluten, egg, soy, sulphites, sesame, nuts, peanuts
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,800.00-£26,000.00 per year
