Job description
The Extruder Operator will be based at the extrusion end of the poppadum line and will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient running of the Extruder. This role is on a continental 6pm-6am shift pattern

What's the role about?
Supporting the Extruder Technician you will ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the Extruder from raw materials to finished goods to meet the requirements of the production plan whilst maintaining health, safety, quality and food safety standards.
You will be involved in change overs, shutdowns and start-ups as well as ordering and returning materials. The role also plays a part in the site CI activities and improvement sessions

- Demonstrate flexibility in line with Business Requirements
- Be organised, conscientious and be confident in ability to operate machinery
- Be able handle a high level of responsibility, remaining calm and focused under pressure
- Have an excellent record of Food Safety (FSIL) reporting
- Have an awareness and understand of all CCP’s for the Line
- Have a high level of numeracy and literacy – demonstrate accuracy in paperwork and in calculations.
- Have good Communication skills – working collaboratively with operatives and the Team Leader
- Have an excellent record of Health and Safety reporting
- Demonstrate your contribution and engagement in site CI initiatives
