Purpose of the role


To support the day-to-day delivery of an efficient Alarm Monitoring Centre function. The primary role is to provide a professional Alarm Monitoring service to the entire business to maintain the security of our assets, along with taking charge of our Direct Delivery output which assists in managing the physical/electronical and manned guarding contracts and the security of our assets.


This role is predominantly a 24/7 role so willingness to work days, nights and weekends is essential. These can come up at short notice, however, the majority is planned leave in advance. None 24/7 cover days will be used up on a Mon-Fri basis working on Direct Delivery and other projects set by the wider team.


Key Accountabilities


  • Manage the day-to-day function of the Alarm Monitoring Centre (AMC).
  • Ensure all Intruder Detection System (IDS) and CCTV alarms are responded to within two minutes.
  • Adhere to all YW policies and procedures in relation to the AMC.
  • Carry out monthly AMC/Disaster Recovery/security systems checks and raise faults and/or ensure these are resolved.
  • Assist in the training of new/all AMC operators, Physical and Electronic Security (PES) team members and static guards across the facilities managed estate.
  • Provide first line support/assistance in reporting and managing direct delivery and tracking progress on our spreadsheets.
  • Provide second line PAC administrator and ensure provision of PAC card availability each working day.
  • Provide first line support for Abloy Cliq Electro-Mechanical key systems.
  • Provide first line support for all PES direct delivery contracts, including database upkeep.
  • Provide first line support for all Ad-hoc guarding request, database upkeep and SAP Ariba submissions.
  • Provide assistance with the Electronic Security contract including, but not limited to, tracking both the service reports and the fault database.
  • Provide assistance with the upkeep of all AMC database and spreadsheets.
  • Provide security advice and assist in security investigations where necessary.
  • Provide assistance with CCTV request as directed by PES team.
  • Provide shift cover where needed.
  • Ensure all AMC systems/checks are conducted and report any issues.
  • Provide assistance with Safeguard security reports and/or ensure these are completed in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as required and in support of the PES team.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a control room, preferably within a CCTV environment.
  • High standard of Microsoft Office products.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Excellent standards of Customer Service (internal & external).
  • Thorough, reliable, enthusiastic and rigorous approach to work.
  • Experienced in always working with policies and procedures.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • SIA & CCTV licence (beneficial).
  • Team player.
  • Ability to adapt to working days, nights and weekends at short notice.
