Job description
A progressive position in our kitchen within a growing food manufacturing environment.
You will be trained on all aspects of the following, and at the successful completion of each stage there will be a salary reward.
· You will receive food safety level 3, allergen awareness, health & safety, manual handling & chemical awareness training prior to starting in your position.
Training will result in the understanding of the following:-
· To be signed off as competent as a cooking Operator
· To be completing start up checks.
· To be completing vessel integrity checks between cooks
· To be weighing out condiments / Dry Goods, Independently
· To be completing the cook list independently and understanding the running order
· To be completing boiler recipe sheets and understanding the information needed (batch details, etc, FIFO and the shelf life of products)
· To be able to load a boiler independently.
· To be able to run all cooking vessels independently.
· To understand the colour coding on tote bins (customer Specific)
· To understand the recipe reference sheet
· To understand the process when decanting on cooling failure and the relevant paperwork.
· To be following our Clean as You Go Policy
· To understand the chemical cleaning process and be able to complete it independently and safely
· To keep your own recipe sheet records – batch and temperature details.
· In conjunction with your cooking Shift Leader, identify any self-development/ training needs to support you move to Senior Cooking Operator.
