You MUST have basic cooking experience (sandwiches, frying etc.)
The Holiday Inn Express is a limited service brand.
Our hotel offers a limited breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are looking for a Food Assistant that will work 5 days a week = Breakfast, lunch or dinner, 5 hour shift. 25 hrs guaranteed a week.
We also have a banqueting suite where we hold parties and conferences. Therefore, experience in preparing large Finger or Fork Buffet is essential.
No experience as a Head chef is required, but must have some experience as a Cook. Basic knowledge of preparing food = making sandwiches, frying items, use of conventional oven (training will be provided)
Salary: £10.42 per hour. If preparing conference lunches (Finger or Fork buffet) a different hourly pay will apply.
Requirements:
- You must be flexible, working any 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and Bank Holidays
- You must be flexible to work either shift: Breakfast/Lunch shift = around 8am till 1.30pm, Dinner shift = 1.30pm till 7pm (subject to change)
- if conference going on there will be a middle shift
- Must have some experience as a Cook

- Adhering to kitchen & food hygiene legislation and best practices
- Able to work successfully within a professional team structure
