Holdsworth House Hotel is a privately owned, award winning hotel which this year is celebrating 60 years of business. We are renowned for the levels of service and quality we offer and have a very proud tradition of developing people as exceptional members of our team and progressing them as individuals.
With 33 guest bedrooms, a 2 rosette AA-rated restaurant and regarded as one of the top wedding venues in Yorkshire we are now looking to expand our restaurant supervisory team.
Set in 3 acres of grounds in North Halifax, close Bradford, Leeds and North Yorkshire we have excellent travel links for both locals and commuters.
The Role
If you enjoy variety and are at your best when being part of a team as well as being passionate about delivering excellent guest service through delivering high-quality food & beverages to all guests, this role is for you.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
You will be involved in the day to day operation of the hotel's restaurant and will also have an input and responsibility for deputising in other areas of our food and beverage department such as our popular wedding and events team along with our bars in this busy and hands on hotel.
It’s important to remember your importance and reason for completing each job- Our guests! From taking and delivering an order, dealing with customer transaction, or dealing with guest queries. An enjoyment for looking after our guests, going above and beyond each and every time is vital for this role, setting an example to our food and beverage assistants every day.
You’ll be called upon to complete a wide variety of tasks and jobs within the hotel and it’s extremely important that you remain flexible and versatile around this. This is a full guest facing role, where you play a vital part in delivering a fantastic guest experience and it’s important to remain friendly approachable and be the best version of you whenever you come in to contact with one of our guests.
Given the nature of this role it’s important that you are the best version of you! - Whether you are an experienced waiter, bartender, an all-round amazing food & beverage team member or someone who has the passion to make a difference to this amazing hotel. Along with the above, you’ll pride yourself on your high levels of attention to detail and delivering amazing experiences to our guests. Being organised and thriving on routine whilst comfortably and effectively managing your own time will be an added bonus.
The person should be ambitious and keen to progress within the industry as career progression is a real possibility within this business and we have a good record of progressing our own team.
You will work a base of 40 hours per week across 5 days but will need to have flexibility when the unexpected occurs. Overtime is paid for any hours that are worked above the contract hours.
