A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Meeting and Events operational team at Gino D’Acampo hotels and leisure Liverpool. We are looking for an outgoing, full of character individual who is wanting to learn the finer details into Meeting and Events and who exceeds in their role in delivering a high-quality guest experience and product knowledge within the department. We have high standards and set procedures for the department, to enable the team to provide the best service and customer experience when joining us weather it’s for a conference, banquet, formal/informal meeting, hosting a VIP event, private dining or just a quick walk around. We ensure every guest who walks onto the meeting and events floor has a memorable, WOW experience provided by us.
As our Meeting and Events supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring all events from a small conference to hosting an international football team always run effectively and to the highest of standards. You should have an eye for detail and passion that shows through your work. It is essential you have a good knowledge of food and beverage and can deliver a superior conference experience for all our guests. You can handle a challenge with confidence and at ease whilst being a fast thinker and can handle pressure whilst leading a team.
Objectives that are included in the Meeting and Events supervisor role –
- Setting/De-setting all event rooms according to the required set up style.
- Welcoming guests upon arrival and going through the day’s agenda to ensure every detail is covered.
- Preparing tea, coffee and lunch stations for all events, set out to the highest standard.
- Delivering professional, time managed events for a wide range of clientele by ensuring all staff members are providing the correct service and guest experience.
- Ensure good product knowledge about food and drink menus is given when asked by guests.
- Delegating cleaning and clearing duties to the team as well as helping when necessary
- Confidently running VIP who stay and dine on the event floor by showing exceptional customer experience and adhering to all the requirements needed from the client
- Ensure that all function sheets are always followed for timings and catering requirements.
- Great knowledge about allergens and intolerances, ready to answer any questions from guests regarding this.
- Solving any issues or complaints with the passion that guests will never leave unhappy about their experience.
- Assist the Food and Beverage manager with any ordering for linen, stock or rotating for the department on a weekly basis!
- Being flexible within your role – enjoy working different shift patterns and experiencing the operation on different days including most weekends and evenings.
- Being confident in running all types of events when the Food and Beverage manager is elsewhere.
- Overseeing all requests and last minute changes to events with a professional relaxed manner
- To confidentially run events alone when needed
- Liaising with the sales team from the hotel for any questions or concerns
- Taking on the responsibility of running the department when Mangers are on holiday
About you –
- Essential you have minimum 1 year at supervisor level.
- Silver service Trained.
- Experience working in hotels and within Meeting and Events
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Restaurant and Bar knowledge is required.
- Awareness of health and safety / Food safety
- Flexible – ensuring can cover all different shift patterns.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
