Job description
The R&D Process Engineer will maintain improves manufacturing cost, processing performance and product quality for new and existing products, while assisting in the design and start-up of process equipment for the Carlisle Construction Materials – Insulation Division. Included in this responsibility are troubleshooting, standardizing, and improving existing products/processes as well as maintaining all standard documents. The role supports Plant Operations while connecting R&D and Engineering functions to plant processes associated with manufacturing and assembling quality processes and products. This may involve developing processing specifications, standard works, root cause investigation, data analysis, and training. Deliverables include technical design specifications for equipment, processing specifications, process assistance to the plants and development of Capital Expenditure justifications. Process R&D Engineer will work with chemists, other engineers, and technically trained personnel, and operates under the general guidance of the Process R&D Leader, Manager or Director.

- Education - Bachelor or Master's of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Polymer Science (or related technical discipline)
- Experience - 2+ years minimum as a Chemist, Plant Process Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Design Engineer or Material Test Operator in a manufacturing plant, test lab, or R&D facility.
- Some travel is required, approximately 25% of travel time (although more travel may be required on occasion).
