Elmore Court is an award-winning wedding and events venue in Gloucestershire, with a family history dating back nearly 750 years. We have a reputation for being the best at what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic new member of the team to join our team as a full-time Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
The successful candidate must be personable, hardworking, organised and have a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
The Role
- From the time guests make their way to the wedding breakfast, you will be the clients’ point of contact meaning a confident and approachable persona is essential.
- Ensure drinks receptions and dinner services are run professionally whilst looking picture perfect.
- Orchestrate evening festivities once dinner service has finished and ensure that couples and guests are supported and guided throughout the evening’s events.
- Consistency is key and it will be your job to guarantee that each of our couples, receives an outstanding level of food and beverage service.
- You will be running the food and beverage service for events ranging from 50 to 200 guests.
- Showing impeccable organisation and communication to ensure timings are met.
- You will manage a team and train new recruits to the standards expected of Elmore Court.
- Working closely with the kitchen team, it will be your responsibility to make sure that food is served exactly to the clients’ expectation in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager with strategic, operational & financial management, by implementing & monitoring new policies and practices
The Person
- At least 2 years’ experience working within the hospitality sector, at a supervisory or higher level.
- Experience of working within banqueting will be beneficial to the role.
- Flexible approach to working hours as the role will involve weekend and evening work.
- Possess the ability to lead, manage and communicate effectively with all members of staff.
- Lead by example through being a positive, outgoing, well-presented individual.
- Excel in a team-working environment and be open to injecting a little personality into the role.
- Conscientious but laid-back; we need someone who fits the Elmore mould and presents themselves as a professional.
