- Ensuring a friendly and professional approach to service during breakfast, lunch, dinner and at events
- Completing seamless table turnarounds in an efficient manner
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of The Macallan food menu, as well as cooking techniques to ensure that you are knowledgeable about the service offering and can make recommendations to customers, if required
- Maintaining full knowledge of drink and coffee menu, as well as the standards around how these should be served
- Ensuring The Macallan bar constantly achieves high standards of performance and service.
- Ensuring the drink quality and serve is constantly exceptional and in line with brand etiquette.
- Responsible for the continuous development of the bar service offering, in terms of menu development and in accordance with the brand development and DNA.
- To ensure all serve ingredients are planned, sourced, prepared and stored appropriately and in a timely manner
- Friendly and approachable to all customers and colleagues alike.
- Experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service delivery within a hospitality establishment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Positive “can-do” attitude.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge and understanding.
- Basic bar knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Confident and smart with a mature, professional manner and a strong sense of ownership and pride.
- Quality driven with high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Experience of working shifts – at times you will be required to work an early breakfast and late dinner shift, as well as weekends.
- Responsible handling of cash and credit card transactions with strong numerical, literacy skills and communication skills.
