IKEA Food team in Croydon would like to welcome Temporary Food & Beverage assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team, there are a variety of roles across the department:
- Front of house in our restaurant / café where you will be greeting our customers and ensuring that they have an experience to remember.
- Kitchen where you will lovingly prepare our meals for our customers & co-workers, Food Safety experience is preferred but not essential
- Then finally in our Exit Bistro and Swedish Food Market, where you will give lasting reasons to return and help customers take a taste of Sweden Home with them.
Prior experience in food is desirable, but not essential if you have a roll up your sleeve mindset to the various tasks & challenges that present themselves.
This is a temporary Contract
Starting Date: 15th July 2023
End Date: 25th November 2023
WHAT WE OFFER
- £11.95 per hour
- Living Wage Foundation Employer
Contract size varies between 12 - 30 hours per week, Flexibility will be discussed at interview, but evenings and weekend working will be expected.
We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, this role will require availability to work until 11.00pm 2 nights per week and until 6.30pm on Sundays and full weekends.
We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling & regular weekend off
Due to Health & Safety regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you.
This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.
We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Food Co-worker, you will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them in the various areas in the department to help create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co-worker.
